Robert Downey Jr. presented Duran Duran founding member and bass player John Taylor with an award from the non-profit Writers in Treatment on Friday Feb 15 at the Skirball Cultural Center. The event recognized Taylor for his memoir published recently called In the Pleasure Groove about his years with the British rock band and his road to recovery. The charity event is a celebration of the benefits of clean and sober living and the importance of humor in the recovery process. All proceeds benefit Writers In Treatment’s Jewelle Sturm Memorial Scholarship Fund. Past honorees include astronaut Buzz Aldrin and Academy Award winning actor Louis Gossett, Jr. For more on Writers in Treatmentclick here.
