For most people, spring-cleaning is something that happens once a year. For Devin Adante, the A-list Organizer, it’s a part of her daily life. From extreme hoarding cases to celebrity estates, she’s organized and moved just about everything over the past 10 years.
Adante handles all aspects of a move from receiving quotes from moving companies and overseeing the packing process to organizing belongings in a client’s new home. Adante first started her own business as a side job while she worked as a paralegal. Within eight months she quickly built up a clientele and turned the side business into a fulltime venture.
Over the past 10 years she’s had the fortune to work with numerous high-profile clients, among them Bryan Cranston, Jim Brown from the NFL Hall of Fame, Alexander Ludwig, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and A.J. Langer. She also works with business owners and local families.
“I love that I meet new and interesting people every day,” Adante said. “No two days are ever the same. I love that I really help people achieve their organizational goals and relieve them from the stress of their move.”
Hoarders are another interesting aspect of the industry that Adante works in, and she has encountered numerous cases over the years.
“Each hoarding project is unique,” she said. “I approach each project with empathy and compassion. But I’m definitely there to get a job done.”
Adante worked on an episode of Hoarders, where she led the team behind the scenes, helping a woman living in a home with six children. Adante described the project as “a massive undertaking” that took 17 people to work on, and while they weren’t able to completely solve the woman’s problem, Adante and her team did their best to provide support and assistance.
When she isn’t working with clients, Adante serves on the Board of Directors at the YWCA Santa Monica/Westside, an organization that offers programs and classes that empower women and girls.
And while her various job assignments take her anywhere from Hermosa Beach to Malibu, at the end of the day, Santa Monica is the place that Adante is proud to call home.
“I have lived in Santa Monica since 2007 and I love it here,” she said. “I love that it’s warm but not hot and almost always sunny with a nice ocean breeze. I enjoy discovering the new restaurants and shops around town. And you can’t beat a Santa Monica sunset.”
