US stock futures rose Monday night, ahead of the final trading week of 2022.

and Nasdaq-100 NQ00 futures,
It also posted strong gains, indicating positive market moves when regular trading resumed on Tuesday from the three-day Christmas break.

Last week, the Dow rose nearly 1%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq fell for the third week in a row.

On Friday, the DJIA Dow Jones Industrial Average,
It rose 176.44 points, or 0.5%, to close at 33,203.93 points. S&P 500 SPX Index,
It gained 22.43 points, or 0.6%, to close at 3,844.82, for a weekly decline of 0.2%. nasdaq composite,
It closed at 10,497.86 points, up 6.85 points, or 0.4%. Over the course of the week, the Nasdaq was down 1.9%.
Friday marked the beginning of the so-called Santa Claus rally period – the last five trading days of the calendar year and the first two trading days of the new year. This stretch has, on average, led to stock gains, but a failure to do so is often read as a negative sign.
