PSA: Today is the last day to save on Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass is arguably one of the best “deals” in gaming right now, but starting tomorrow, July 6th, the subscription service is going to be a bit more premium. Game Pass announced last month that along with the Xbox’s price increase outside of the US, it has increased its price from $1 to $2. This means that today is the last day to secure a subscription at the current base price of $9.99 per month or $14.99 per month from the final level.

Starting tomorrow, the base price of Xbox Game Pass will be $10.99 per month instead of $9.99. This entry level tier allows you to download and play the monthly rotating list of over 100 games on the Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles. The pricier Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tier, which includes PC Game Pass (which will remain at its current standalone price of $9.99 per month) and the Xbox Cloud Gaming Beta, has jumped from $14.99 per month to $16.99. However, Microsoft is giving existing subscribers a short grace period, or until August 13th, before they see their prices go up.

While these initial Xbox Game Pass price hikes aren’t anywhere near the all-time highs in the digital subscription world, it likely isn’t the only time they’ve happened. Xbox Game Pass still offers good value if you like the selection of games on offer, such as Hi Fay Rush and so on and so on, starfield. However, if you start heading in the direction of pricier video streaming services, the sheen is likely to start to wear off.

So while it may be hard to see how much more Game Pass costs, be sure to do everything you can to save yourself some coins on Microsoft’s subscription service while you still have a chance.
