Abner Uribe and Jose Siri were ejected after throwing punches in a brawl in the Brewers' win over the Rays

It was a very chaotic night at American Family Field on Tuesday.

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Abner Uribe and Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Jose Siri were ejected from the Brewers' 8-2 win after throwing punches during a brawl that broke out in the eighth inning. Brewers manager Pat Murphy and starter Freddy Peralta were ejected a few innings earlier as well, after Peralta hit Siri with a pitch.

MLB released Fines and suspensions on Wednesday:

• Peralta was suspended for five matches and fined an undisclosed amount.

• Murphy would sit out two games and was also fined.

• Uribe was banned for six matches and fined.

• Siri will miss three matches and has been fined.

The main incident broke out in the eighth game and quickly led to ejections after both seats had been vacated. Siri was grounded to start the inning, and Uribe threw a pitch from Rhys Hoskins to make the play at first.

But almost immediately, the routine collapsed. Uribe, who waited at the bag for Siri to get there before walking over, said something to Siri. This quickly escalated things, leading to punches being thrown as the scene became incredibly chaotic.

While it is unclear what was said to spark the incident, it erupted very quickly. Given that punches were thrown, penalties are likely to be imposed.

This incident came just two innings after Murphy and Peralta were ejected from the match. Peralta was thrown out after Siri hit a 3-0 pitch in the sixth inning. This led to Murphy being ejected, and the referees quickly ejected them both from the game after Murphy came out of the dugout.

Despite all that, the Brewers had little trouble getting the win. They led 3-0 after two innings, and Willie Adams hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning to give them a 6-1 lead.

The win snapped a three-game losing skid for the Brewers, who now held an 18-11 record. They will wrap up a three-game series against the Rays, who sit at 14-17, on Wednesday.
