Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were pictured smiling on the second day of their trip to Nigeria despite suggestions his father “ignored” him.

King Charles and the Duke of Sussex did not meet while the prince was on a short visit to the UK earlier this week.

But it was revealed that the Queen met with former England star David Beckham to talk about his charity in a private discussion while Harry was in the country.

Earlier on Saturday, Buckingham Palace announced that Charles and his other son, Prince William, will attend a joint ceremony next week.

Harry and Meghan visited a charity that helps injured and sick soldiers on the second day of their trip to Nigeria to promote the Invictus Games.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended an exhibition volleyball match, where the Prince was seen taking part in the game.

Prince Harry enjoys a game of seated volleyball while Meghan cheers him on on his visit to Nigeria

The session came after the couple danced with school children, jumping and spinning, before interacting with the children.

The Duke of Sussex can be seen encouraging the Dutchwoman to twirl around as she laughs and puts her hand on Harry’s shoulder.

They then talked to the children about mental health, telling them there was “no shame” in feeling down.

“There’s no shame in being able to admit that today is a bad day, okay?” Harry said.

“You woke up this morning feeling sad; you were at school and feeling stressed; you have lost a dear person in your family and you don’t know who to turn to or who to talk to,” the Duke of Sussex added.

Prince Harry urges children to ‘unlearn’ mental health stigma during Nigeria trip

Prince Harry urged children to “break away” from the stigma around mental health when his wife Meghan joined him on a visit to a school in Nigeria. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex began their three-day trip on Friday, May 10, after arriving in the West African country at the invitation of the Chief of the Defense Staff. Earlier this week, Harry returned briefly to the UK as he celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games – but he did not see King Charles. “You woke up this morning feeling sad; you were at school and feeling stressed; you have lost a dear person in your family and you don’t know who to turn to or who to talk to,” the Duke of Sussex added.

He urged students to talk about their psychological problems.

“The more you talk about it, the more you can get rid of the stigma, fall farther into the long grass, and then everyone will have the opportunity to be able to share how they feel, how they cope, and then it can help other people,” Harry said.

“So, if you take anything away from today, just know that mental health affects everyone,” he added.
