Prime Video has decided not to renew the new sci-fi/western drama. outer range, Starring Josh Brolin, for a third season. The news comes nearly two months after the seven-episode second season of the Charles Murray-produced series was released on May 16.
External range The series follows rancher Royal Abbott (Brolin) as he fights for his land and family after discovering an unexplained phenomenon on the edge of the Wyoming wilderness – a dark void. The mystery surrounding the void deepens in the ranch’s western pastures in Season 2, as Royal and his wife Cecilia (Lili Taylor) struggle to keep their family together in the wake of their granddaughter’s disappearance.
In addition to Brolin and Taylor, the second season stars Imogen Poots, Tamara Podemsky, Lewis Pullman, Tom Pelphrey, Noah Reid, Shawn Sipos, Isabel Araiza, Olive Abercrombie, and Will Patton. The second season also stars Christian James, Megan West, Danielle Abels, Kimberly Guerrero, and Monet Moyo.

External range The series was executive produced by Charles Murray, Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Ernest McNeely, Brolin, Tony Krantz, Heather Rae, and John Barre. Brolin made his directorial debut in the penultimate episode of the second season.
