Nintendo Wii and DS favorite MySims is reportedly coming to Nintendo Switch.
Kotaku An “enhanced version of MySims” is reportedly set to release for current Nintendo consoles sometime in 2024, though the purported release date leaked on November 19 cannot be confirmed.
Franchise fans on Reset the era I first noticed a number of European retailers listing a Nintendo Switch version of the game, which first appeared on the Nintendo Wii in 2007. It’s unclear whether this version, if real, is a complete remake, a remaster, or something in between.
MySims is a spin-off of EA’s flagship life simulation game The Sims, tasking players with rebuilding a crumbling city, attracting new residents, and decorating it to please everyone. It later came out on the Nintendo DS and spawned countless sequels, including MySims Kingdom, Party, Racing, Agents, and Skyheroes.
The last of these games was released in 2010, meaning it’s been 14 years since EA released the last MySims game, but with The Sims 4 a decade away and The Sims 5 still nowhere in sight, EA may have wanted to inject some life into the franchise in the meantime.
MySims will be the first game in The Sims series to come to Nintendo Switch, with the franchise appearing on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and seemingly everywhere except Nintendo’s console.
