Accused of keeping his grandmother alive in the freezer

A man from Georgia has recently been accused of keeping his grandmother alive in a freezer.

The body of 82-year-old Doris Cumming was found Thursday evening by police at the Armucci home he shared with his 29-year-old grandson, Robert Keith Tincher.

The latter has been charged with murder, assault and concealing a body, and his next appearance is pending, USA Today reported.

Floyd County police believe the elderly woman injured herself in a fall last December.

Instead of helping her, her grandson decided to drag her through the apartment.

“I heard and saw that many of his bones were broken,” he told investigators.

He would put it in plastic bags before putting his grandmother in a big freezer.

“Based on what was established at this time, the accused believes he was still breathing and moving when placed in the freezer,” police officer Brittany Werner told WAGA TV.

The young man lived with the body continuously for several months before moving the freezer to a storage unit.

Robert Keith Tincher III explained that no argument led to this play and that he loved his grandmother very much.

“He was the only member of his family who never gave him the love and attention he needed,” Werner said.

An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact circumstances of the death.
