Dozens of missiles fell by Hezbollah on the Meron Air Base in the occupied northern territories

Fighters of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah carried out multiple operations against Israeli military sites, launching dozens of rockets from southern Lebanon towards the border areas on the northern side of the territories occupied in 1948.

Lebanese Al-Mayadeen news channel reported that dozens of Katyusha rockets were fired from Lebanon at Meron Air Base on Saturday in response to Israeli military raids on the villages of Al-Quza and Markaba, as well as the town of Sarbin in southern Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Israeli media said that a major radar site inside a military base was damaged as a result of Hezbollah attacks.

A heavy barrage of rockets was also launched towards settlements in the Mount Meron area in the Upper Galilee region, including Safsoufa, Hagnoz, Kafr Hosh, and Bar Yuha.

Earlier on Saturday, Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem said Hezbollah's support for the Gaza Strip hindered Israeli military plots against the Palestinian territories and southern Lebanon.

“Those who do not think about the future are those who are ignorant of the Zionist enemy, and are unable to acknowledge the facts that their support will bring benefits beyond solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza and the security of Lebanon. Sheikh Qassim stressed that their support will lead to the creation of a complete deterrent force against Israel that prevents it from crossing red lines.

He said that the proposals put forward to achieve calm on the troubled border between Lebanon and the territories occupied by Israel would be effective if they ensured a complete ceasefire and an end to the almost daily cross-border shooting.

Sheikh Qassim said: “Whoever comes up with a ceasefire initiative in southern Lebanon to alleviate Israeli fears is giving the regime an opportunity to escalate its aggression against Gaza.”

The Israeli regime has repeatedly attacked southern Lebanon since October 7, when it launched a genocidal war on Gaza that killed at least 34,388 Palestinians, most of them women and children.

In response, Hezbollah launched almost daily missile attacks on Israeli positions.

At least 380 people were killed on the Lebanese border, including 72 civilians.

The fighting forced the evacuation of tens of thousands from the northern part of the occupied territories, amid rocket fire and bombing carried out by Hezbollah and its allied Palestinian factions.

Hezbollah fought two Israeli wars against Lebanon in 2000 and 2006. The resistance forced the regime to retreat in both conflicts.
