One person was killed in a massive fog pile-up involving hundreds of vehicles in China on Wednesday, state television reported.
Aerial images show scores of cars, vans and trucks overturned on a stretch of highway in the heart of the country. Traffic seems to be cut off.

According to official media estimates, at least 200 vehicles were involved in this rare large pile-up.
According to local authorities quoted by public broadcaster CCTV, low visibility due to fog was the cause of the accident, which occurred near Zhengzhou (center) on Wednesday morning.
Zhengzhou police said in their official account that traffic on the affected highway was able to resume in the afternoon.
Despite road infrastructure and stricter laws in recent years, road accidents still occur frequently in China because some drivers do not comply with the highway code.
