A heavily intoxicated 19-year-old was hospitalized following a party. The Glynn County Police Department in Georgia has opened an investigation.
On March 21, 19-year-old Trent Lehrkamp was taken to a hospital emergency room in Brunswick by three “friends.” The latter gave their names to the staff and left before the police arrived.
The young man, who was also covered in paint in his urine, was so intoxicated that he could breathe only six times a minute.
In a photo taken on March 21, Trent appears unconscious and covered in material as four young men pose next to him.
The next day, police raided a house on St. Simons Island. Relevant evidence was found during the investigation. About 20 youths have been identified in connection with the incident.
Trent’s father told police that his son had already returned injured after spending time with this group of friends.
A few weeks ago, Trent’s father says he had to take him to the emergency room because he had a “severe cut” above his left eye that required stitches.
On March 17, the youth returned home covered in vomit, paint, glue and egg yolk.
According to the father, Trent “never feels normal” when he goes out with these friends, who are his “only friends.”
A photo posted on social media shows Lehrkamp sitting on a black chair with what looks like poop on his lap. The photo was reportedly taken at the same house on Saint-Simons Island where the March 21 incident took place.
A GoFundMe account has been set up to help pay for Trent’s medical bills. Raised over $100,000.
The FBI and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are currently helping to analyze evidence collected from the March 21 incident.
