Like Christina Aguilera and Roseanne Barr before her, Ingrid Andress is coming under fire for her unwelcome performance of the national anthem.
After the Grammy nominee’s voice cracked while performing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at MLB’s T-Mobile Home Run Derby on Monday in Arlington, Texas, she quickly became the subject of mockery on social media.
“Wow! @IngridAndress really did it, she united America,” one person wrote on Twitter. X (formerly Twitter) with a screenshot of multiple people on the platform criticizing the performance.
“Ingrid Andress’s national anthem was probably the worst thing that happened in America in the last 48 hours #Brutal” books Another person was injured after Donald Trump was targeted during a shooting at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.

The Black Eyed Peas alumna previously faced criticism for her performance of the national anthem at the 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend.
“I got to Ingrid Andres’s Wikipedia before they took it back,” another person wrote with Screenshot From the Wikipedia entry that states, “She is also known for distorting the national anthem before the 2024 Major League Baseball All-Star Game.”
Amidst the negativity surrounding Andres’ performance, one person offered: video Meat Loaf has been performing his own version of the American national anthem for 30 years.
“If anyone needs to clear the timeline after Ingrid Andress’s terrible national anthem, here’s the greatest national anthem in MLB All-Star Game history, courtesy of Meat Loaf in 1994. This is how it’s done,” they wrote.
The Home Run Derby ended Monday with Teoscar Hernandez becoming the first Dodgers player to win the title in his debut, beating the Royals’ Bobby Witt Jr. in the final inning.
