Bandai Namco announced that the new Tekken project is officially coming after the Tekken 7 Finals in Evo 2022.
Furthermore, Tekken 7 will receive a new battle update this month on August 17th as well.
The new trailer begins with the iconic depiction of Kazuya carrying Heihachi to the side of a cliff before cutting into what appears to be a remake of Mishima’s character with the text “Get ready.”
There has been no confirmation on whether this new game appearing will actually be Tekken 8 or something different this time around.
However, due to the use of original Tekken footage, there is also a chance that the upcoming project will be a remake, reboot, or reimagining of where it all began.
No other information has been officially confirmed at this time regarding Bandai Namco’s upcoming big project.
As for Tekken 7, the developers have revealed that new balance mods are likely on the way to the entire cast as well as “new tactics” that appear to include additional combos, moves, and/or what appears to be a different type of wall bounce.
There has been more news about the Tekken World Tour 2022 as well as the reveal of the World Finals in Amsterdam from February 4-5, 2023.
