Southwest Airlines officials said the travel issues were due to “spreading thunderstorms and airspace restrictions across Florida” on Saturday.
Their statement read in part: “We are communicating with our customers and assisting them with any delays in arriving at their destinations today, and we apologize for any inconvenience. Our staff in Orlando are working to serve customers to quickly move them through the designated check-in areas for international and cruise passengers, and bag drop service.” Fast, full service.
