The document was published by the Russian Foreign Ministry on its website. This includes mainly government officials, members of parliament, but also members of civil society.
Moscow has already announced sanctions against several people on the list, especially US President Joe Biden, his Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, the Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin or Meta Mark Zuckerberg.
The list also includes Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman, who has not yet been publicly admitted. Russian diplomacy alleges that he recorded a video in 2017 in which he said that Russia was carrying out a “conspiracy” against the United States.
“Russian counter-sanctions are necessary and aimed at restricting American power, which seeks to impose a new colonial + world order + on other parts of the planet. […] It must change its position and recognize the new geopolitical realities, ”the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.
He promises that Moscow is open to “honest dialogue” and distinguishes the American people from officials who “incite rasphobia.”
After the invasion of Ukraine, Russian diplomacy lost hundreds of Anglo-Saxon figures entering Russia.
On Saturday, he announced that he had taken action against 26 additional Canadians, including Sophie Trudeau, the wife of the Canadian Prime Minister.
