While the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Z Fold6 have been the focus of attention for the past couple of weeks, it’s now time to turn our attention to the upcoming Galaxy S25 lineup as rumors are likely to heat up in the coming months. One of Samsung’s top tipsters suggests that the Ultra will get a major design overhaul.
In fact, rumors suggest that Samsung has already finalized the design of all three devices in the Galaxy S25 family. The S25 Ultra is said to feature an asymmetrical frame design to aid grip.
The frame towards the back will reportedly be more rounded to help grip the phone, while the front frame will be more upright. This will also make the bezels appear thinner, though we’re not entirely sure how that’s achieved. The width of the phone will be retained, and the side frame will be narrower overall.
This is partly consistent with the previous rumor about a design change in late June.
While this may be a good design choice, we think the main issue, when it comes to ergonomics, is the S24 Ultra’s sharp corners. They make the device look much larger than it is, at least compared to other 6.8-inch smartphones.
Anyway, it’s a nice change of pace and we’re eager to see how the new design will impact the work environment and ease of use.
