Could this be the best HDTV Black Friday deal of the year? Right now, Amazon has slashed the price of the awesome LG C1 65″ 4K OLED Smart TV. This best-in-class TV usually retails for $2,499.99. We saw it for as low as $1,499.99 on Amazon Prime Day, but even that deal pales in comparison. If money is no object, then OLED TVs are considered to be the best TVs you can buy right now. Compared to traditional LED LCD TVs, it offers better picture quality, deeper blacks, better contrast ratio, wider color gamut, and ultra-fast response times. It makes a great TV for gaming thanks to its inclusion of HDMI 2.1 for 4K @ 120Hz and is ideal for PS5 and Xbox Series X gamers, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), G-SYNC (which is kind of redundant because it’s similar to VRR) and ALLM. It also supports HGiG if you are looking for HDR presets for games.

Among OLED TVs, LG is often considered the flag bearer; It is the only TV against which all other OLED TVs are compared. LG OLED TV has several generations of improvements under its belt. The C1 is the 2021 model succeeded by this year’s LG Evo C2. However, the C2 is an upgrade and an incremental cost many of Hundreds of dollars more now. The difference in image quality between the C1 and the new Evo C2 is slight. The main reason you want to spend more is if you have a lot of light in your room that you can’t control (the Evo C2 is brighter) or move your TV around (the Evo C2 is about 35% lighter). If neither of those apply to you, take the C1 and keep some cash in the pocket.
