It's finally here! On Wednesday, the first official photos from what's coming Beetlejuice A sequel has been released, featuring the return of several beloved characters and making two additions to the story.
In case you didn't know, on September 6, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice It will be released in theaters. The sequel reunites director Tim Burton with many of the original cast members from the 1988 film, including Michael Keaton as the eponymous ghost.
They will be joined by several new stars to the series, including Jenna Ortega as Astrid Dietz, Lydia's daughter.
And Justin Theroux Like Rory, although we don't know much about his character yet.
Willem Dafoe and Monica Bellucci have also been cast as new characters.
As for the first images that were just released, one of them is a standalone image of Michael as Betelgeuse.
The second shows Katherine, Jenna, Winona, and Justin at what appears to be a graveside funeral. This fashion! Katherine's hat, Jenna's jacket, Winona's glasses, and Justin's coat Everything.
Entertainment Weekly First to report the first look photos, Tim Burton told the publication that the sequel will tell the story of a death in the Dietz family decades after the first film.
A press release for the film reveals more about the sequel's plot, stating that an “unexpected tragedy” brings the Dietz family back to Winter River, the setting of the first film.
Last month, the title was announced, and the poster was released.
