    Insults between US presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump could lead to a debate, says an expert on US politics.

    According to Luc Laliberté in an interview with LCN, Republican candidate Donald Trump is currently “slightly favored”. However, the rise in popularity of Democratic candidate Kamala Harris could change the shape of the race.

    “Quietly, we feel that the problems are taking up more space,” said Luc Laliberte. “Whether it’s positive in the Harris camp or dark in the Trump camp, we’re playing talk, playing populism. We’re still playing on emotions.”

    The first of two debates between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris will take place on September 10. The election to decide the next President of the United States will be held on November 5.
