A WWE Superstar reacts to Swerve Strickland winning the AEW World Championship tonight in the main event of Dynasty.
Swerve Strickland became the first African-American Universal Champion in All Elite Wrestling history at AEW Dynasty.
WWE NXT star Joe Gacy took to Twitter to congratulate the new champion, and briefly sent his well wishes, writing:
“Deviation ❤️”
Gacy and Swerve have a rich history of interesting matches together dating back a fair number of years to their shared time on the independent circuit.
Also noteworthy for history, is that for the first time ever refereeing an AEW World Championship match, Stephon Smith presented the title to Swerve.
In other action on AEW Dynasty tonight, The Young Bucks won the Tag Team Championship in a ladder match against FTR after interference from the returning Jack Perry.
