The 2021-22 season and the NBA draft are both in the books, and now all eyes are on the start of free agency. The speculation and rumors surrounding free agency are what makes this time of year really fun. This summer may not have some of the biggest names available in the free agent market, but it’s still a busy season. Hours before Free Agency officially launches, Kevin Durant asked to trade away from Brooklyn networks. One of the NBA’s biggest stars is now set to change teams this summer, and the KD trade order will undoubtedly affect how the teams handle their casual business.

The NBA free agency kicks off Thursday at 6 p.m. ET, when teams can begin negotiating deals with players. However, the contracts will not actually be official until the moratorium is lifted on July 6. The NBA has reportedly told teams that the salary cap for next season is expected to be $123.6 million, $11.6 million more than last year’s cap of $112 million. . Zach LaVine (Bulls) and Bradley Beal (Wizards) have agreed on maximum deals to return to their teams. Nicks made a move by acquiring Jalen Brunson. Also, the Eastern Conference champion, the Celtics, improved after pulling out of a deal to land Pacers guard Malcolm Brugdon, and Danilo Gallinari is set to sign as well.
