Johnny Depp’s attorney, Camille Vasquez, has been dubbed “Wonder Woman” for rushing to help a man when he encountered a medical emergency on a flight she was on, according to a report.
Vazquez, after winning in the courtroom Depp’s defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heardwas traveling from Los Angeles to New York City on an American Airlines flight this week when another passenger collapsed and hit his head, TMZ reported, citing eyewitness accounts.
The unnamed passenger, who appeared to be in his 70s, fell as he walked past Vasquez and her bodyguard, who were on first class.
When a flight attendant called for help, the famous lawyer and her bodyguard reportedly jumped into action.
Passengers said Vasquez called her brother-in-law, a doctor, and asked him to instruct her to check if the patient was having a heart attack or a brain hemorrhage, the outlet reported.
TMZ said Vasquez’s bodyguard took off his Apple Watch and placed it on the sick passenger to monitor his vitals.
Vasquez was soon relieved of EMT duties by the surgeon who happened to be on board – and who took over the life-saving procedures.
According to TMZ, a cabin crew member told Vasquez she was a “wonderful woman” and offered her a bottle of champagne and a bottle of Merlot for her troubles.
Then the pilot overturned the plane and returned to Los Angeles Airport, where he was received by paramedics who escorted the patient off the flight. It was not clear why the man fell and his condition is unknown at this time.
The incident is sure to elevate the status of the new legal partner to new heights.
