The veteran won eight men’s singles titles at the popular Grand Slam, including five consecutive titles from 2003-2007 inclusive.

And Federer descended on to southwest London looking as subtle as ever in a smart suit, jacket and tie.

He was surrounded by several security personnel, as fans crowded around him to get a glimpse of their hero.

There is no traditional Sunday midday game at Wimbledon, but this weekend there is a one-day match scheduled for the first time ever.

It’s also a historic day for another reason, as Wimbledon celebrates 100 years on the center court.

British superstars Cameron Norrie and Heather Watson will participate in the men’s and women’s singles respectively on Sunday afternoon, hoping to reach the Round of 16 and continue to fulfill the dreams of the home crowd.
