The AMD Ryzen 9000 Desktop CPUs that match the Ryzen 7000 series will be priced at MSRP and not the recent discounted prices that put the Ryzen 7000 series in a very competitive spot against Intel’s 14th Gen lineup.
This means the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X CPU should retail for $699 while offering 16 cores, the Ryzen 9 9900X CPU should retail for $549 while offering 12 cores, and the Ryzen 7 9700X should retail for $399. US while offering 8 cores and the Ryzen 5 9600X should be sold at $299 US while offering 6 cores. All of these chips should be compatible with current and upcoming AM5 platforms such as the 600 series and 800 series.
Since the Ryzen 7000 is highly competitive against Intel’s 14th generation CPUs and the Ryzen 9000 line that comes with the same MSRPs as the last generation while offering significant performance improvements in both single and multi-threaded workloads, we can expect AMD to be in the Good situation. A very dominant position in the desktop DIY space with future Zen 5 chips.
The pricing rumor looks great for the upcoming AMD Ryzen 9000 “Zen 5” Desktopo CPU lineup which is expected to debut at Computex 2024 in the next few days.
