Actor Mike Heslin, best known for his role in “Special Ops: Lioness,” has died at the age of 30.
Her husband, Scotty Dynamo, announced the tragic news on Instagram Saturday.
Dynamo said Heslin died of an “unexpected cardiac event”, but “doctors have no explanation for what happened”.
“On July 2nd, my husband, best friend and soulmate @mikeheslin passed away due to an unexpected heart attack after a week-long battle in the hospital,” Dynamo began his post.
“Michael was young and healthy, and the doctors have no explanation for what happened,” he added.
The artist described Heslin as “a brilliant, selfless, talented man, and a real-life guardian angel,” and praised the late actor for helping him overcome cancer.
“He was truly the kindest, most compassionate, most loving man on earth, and he brought out the best in everyone he had the pleasure of meeting,” Dynamo wrote. “He went through life with ease and confidence, transforming everyone around him into better versions of themselves. No matter how hard things got, we knew there was nothing we couldn’t overcome with Mike by our side.”
“Michael, meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me. You are my world. You are my everything. When I felt you take your last breath, my heart shattered into a million pieces. If I had the ability to trade places with you, I would in a heartbeat. But I will live each day as it comes, as you always told me, and I will live each day in your honor.”
Dynamo also revealed that the couple — who tied the knot in November 2023 — were “in the early stages of starting a family” before Heslin’s death.
“You have been the most generous and giving person,” Dynamo added. “I am so happy to know that through your willingness to donate, you have given the gift of life to four different families. I know you are in a better place and that heaven has gained another angel.”
GoFundMe Page A fund has been set up to cover Heslin’s funeral and hospital expenses. More than $58,000 had been raised as of Sunday.
“There are many ways to define a person and their impact, and Mike represents many beautiful things to many people. But the word we keep coming back to is helper. In Mike’s spirit, it’s time to be helpers,” a message on the page reads.
Heslin made his acting debut on the Showtime series “7 Deadly Sins” in 2014, according to Internet database.
Last year, he appeared in two episodes of Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone series “Special Ops: Lioness” on Paramount+.
The episode paid tribute to Heslin on its Instagram account, writing: “We are deeply saddened to learn of Mike Heslin’s passing. Our thoughts are with his friends, family and his husband Scott during this difficult time.”
Heslin’s acting credits also include TVLand’s “Younger” and Lifetime’s “The Holiday Proposal.”
He created, wrote, directed, and starred in the 2020 mockumentary series “The Influencers.”
