Pest problems. Piano problems. Taylor Swift had to stop performing due to two unexpected, but funny, incidents during her concert in Milan, Italy, on Saturday and Sunday (July 13 and 14).
“I swallowed another one,” Swift dryly told a supportive crowd Saturday night in Milan, where she accepted her fate when a bug flew into her mouth while on stage for a surprise set at the San Siro stadium.
The pop star — no stranger to encountering a bug during her massive tour that has taken her to numerous open-air venues — wasn’t surprised. “I knew this was going to happen because there are a lot of bugs here tonight,” she told the crowd, pausing for a moment and then explaining the protocol: “I just need to cough a little bit.”
She was sitting at the piano, playing a sad and somewhat angry piece. red– A mashup of “I Almost Do” and “The Moment I Knew”, when the intrusive insect interfered with her art.
That keyboard mashup Saturday followed “The 1”/“Wonderland” on acoustic guitar. On Sunday, Swift’s acoustic guitar surprise was a medley of “Mr. Perfectly Fine” and “Red,” and Sunday night’s piano surprise was “Getaway Car” with “Out of the Woods,” which she hoped the Milan audience would particularly enjoy — but she didn’t get very far into that song before she noticed something wasn’t right with the piano.
“You know what, we finally broke it. We finally broke this thing,” Swift joked as a member of her technical staff quickly helped her fix the issue using the Eras tool.
The star struggled to close the top of the song, but celebrated once she did: “I did it!” she exclaimed, and with a smile she returned to “Getaway Car,” once again beginning with its opening line: “No, nothing good starts in a getaway car.”

New Swift Tortured poets The outfit pictured below is the same design as her previous one — but with different words wrapped around its skirt. Instead of lyrics from the “Fortnight” album, the updated version of the white Vivienne Westwood gown with a corset features lyrics from Swift’s rage-filled song “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” “You gotta be,” she reminds those watching the show.
