‘Xena’ star Lucy Lawless claims Kevin Sorbo made controversial remark about O.J.

Xena: Warrior Princess Lucy Lawless is in a battle with her former co-star, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys Actor Kevin Sorbo, after he tweeted that Vice President Kamala Harris should “say the N-word” to prove she is black.

Having worked together for many years on their own shows in the 1990s, Lawless and Sorbo would publicly fight over their opposing political views — Sorbo being a staunch conservative and supporter of former President Donald Trump.

In response to Sorbo’s comments about Harris, Lawless said Friday in “his defense” that she had seen Sorbo defend at least one black person: O.J. Simpson.

“New Zealand Summer, February 1995 When my character appeared, #Zina It was featured in my husband’s show, “The Legendary Journeys of Hercules.” We actors were sitting together and I brought up a piece of news, “Lawless.” Written on X“I said, ‘Guys, did you hear about that woman and her friend who were brutally murdered in Los Angeles? I think the football player did it!’” Peanut asked. [Sorbo] He growled, “Hey! I knew Nicole and let me tell you… it was no picnic at all!” Boom.

Lawless added that they were all “stunned” by Sorbo’s comment.

Lawless reportedly said that Nicole Brown Simpson “didn’t deserve to be stabbed to death.” Sorbo reportedly responded, “I’m just saying it was a piece of art,” Lawless wrote. “It stuck with me because these American expressions were unusual for us. But we knew what it meant.”
