U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris will give her first interview on CNN on Thursday since launching the campaign a month ago, the channel announced Tuesday.

He will be interviewed in the company of Minnesota Governor Tim Walls, who will be campaigning in the swing state of Georgia (South) for the November 5 election.

CNN reports that the interview with journalist Dana Bash will air at 9 p.m. local time.

The 59-year-old Democrat faced pressure to give a formal interview to a major US media outlet.

Until now, he has contented himself with very brief exchanges with journalists following his travels or meetings with influential people.
