A Brossard company suspected of supplying electronic equipment to the Russian military has been blacklisted by the US.
According to the US Department of Commerce, Megatek TI “provided electronic goods and other goods of US origin to Russian industrial and Russian military-related actors without the necessary permits”.
The US on Monday also added about a hundred companies from several countries, including China, Russia and Iran, to its blacklist. It imposes severe limits on trade for companies suspected of acting against US interests based on national security.

According to the commercial registrar, Solutions TI Megatek resides on Marie-Victorin Boulevard in Brossard. It is owned by Natalia Byrova and Evgeny Zoldushov, both of whom live in Brossard.
This is not the first case of Quebecers being suspected of illegally exporting military equipment to Russia. In recent months, both Nikolai Goltsev and Kristina Puzyreva have admitted to US officials that they sent war material to Russia’s war effort against Ukraine.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, several countries, including the United States and Canada, have imposed sanctions to limit the export of equipment that could help the Russian military.
