Its governor says one person has been injured in a fire at a Defense Ministry-owned compound in the Belgorod region near the Ukrainian border.

“The fire broke out on the territory of three municipalities – Borisov and Belgorod areas and the Yakovlevsky urban district – in the territory of an object of the Ministry of Defense,” said Vyacheslav Kladkov, governor of the Belgorod region.
Shortly afterwards, a person was reported slightly injured and emergency services confirmed they were working on the spot.
The previous day, the governor of another border area, Kursk, for his part in the telegram, said that part of a railway line used for freight had collapsed at the level of a bridge at the end of the morning, leaving no casualties.
“This is sabotage, a criminal case has been opened. The officers in charge of the investigation, the experts of the police force will solve the problem, without mentioning the name of the Ukrainian forces, Governor Roman Strovoy assured later with further details.
Russia has repeatedly accused Ukrainian forces of carrying out attacks on Russian soil in areas close to the Ukrainian border.
