Authorities reportedly received a call about an armed man holding hostages in the Oceanway neighborhood around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
SWAT was also dispatched to the scene to assist the inmates.
According to CNN, Caleb Seth Boone is an individual known to authorities.
According to neighbors, the house where the incident took place was suspicious for a long time, as many strangers often returned there.
During the event, the neighbor also tried to shout at the young man: “Caleb, please leave!”
“From what I understand, the list of criminal records is long. I can tell you with certainty that this was not our first exchange with him,” Lt. Shannon Hartley told a CNN reporter.
If it is clear that the suspect does not live in the home, his connections to the hostages remain uncertain.
Investigators are still in custody trying to figure out the teenager’s motive.
