Clare Bailey, 47, lost her teaching license after trying to kill her boyfriend’s wife in front of her boyfriend’s 14-year-old daughter.
After years of adultery, Mme Bailey was furious when Valentine broke off their relationship.
A few months after the split, Bailey jumped in her car and drove more than 120 miles to the man’s family home in Harrogate. On the way, she buys flowers and then dons a strange outfit with a red wig, a covid mask and sunglasses. Clare Bailey showed up at the door of the house with a flower wreath hiding a knife.

When her boyfriend’s wife, Emma Russell, answered the door, Claire Bailey left flowers for her.
Mme Russell refused the flowers before noticing the knife handle. Before he closed the door, Mme Bayley attacked her opponent, injuring her neck, chest, stomach and arms.

The victim screamed for help and tried to push her away. Her 14-year-old daughter, who was upstairs, came downstairs and came to her mother’s rescue.
Clare Bailey decided to back off and returned to her vehicle.

Mme Russell was taken to hospital in critical condition. Fortunately, she was able to survive, but not without serious injuries that required her to be in a wheelchair for several days. She also inherited scars that never fade.

Mme Bailey was arrested, later tried and convicted of attempted murder. The professional teacher was sentenced to 22 years in prison.
