A 25-year-old woman who left her four dogs in a car for dinner has been charged with cruelty to animals after she died.
CNN reports that Tecia White, a young woman from Missouri, was on a trip to Florida.
Police say she and her boyfriend left her four dogs, an adult Goldilocks, a boxer and two Goldendoll puppies in the car when they went to eat at a restaurant on New Smyrna Beach.
When they returned to their car, they found four dogs unconscious and called 911, police said.
The person who called 911 said he came out to see the dogs in the middle of dinner and they were fine. But the air conditioning is turned off when you return to the car after the meal.
Can you hear the call to 911 saying “Accidentally turned off the air conditioning in the car and locked the car, it was so hot, now they are lying on the side, both are not moving”? CNN.
All four dogs died, and the owner was arrested a few hours later.
He is now incarcerated on a $ 10,000 bond.
