    Bears trade Seattle forward after failing to sign Matt Judon

    Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Polis has been eager to bolster his team’s offense, one of its primary needs, over the past year. And on Friday, he took another step toward doing just that. The Bulls and Chicago traded a 2025 sixth-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks for forward Darrell Taylor, The team announced.

    Taylor, 27, was a 2020 second-round pick of Seattle out of Tennessee and has totaled 21.5 sacks in three games. National Football League Seasons with the Seahawks, including a career-high 9.5 in 2022. The Bears ranked 31st out of 32. NFL Teams Last season, Chicago scored 30 goals, just three more than the NFL’s worst-ranked Carolina Panthers. Chicago’s quarterback pressure rate of 31.2% was the third-worst in the NFL in 2023, trailing only the Washington Commanders (30.0%) and Panthers (29.4%).

    In the latest episode of Hard Knocks, Poles spoke frankly about Try to trade Matt Judon is a four-time Pro Bowl winner.But he ultimately decided not to go through with the deal because terms for an immediate extension could not be agreed upon. Judon demanded a trade from the New England Patriots because he was unhappy entering the final year of his contract in 2024 without a long-term guarantee. Judon ended up going to the Atlanta Falcons.

    However, the Poles managed to strike a midseason deal with Commanders forward Monte Sweat, sending a second-round pick to Washington, and the Poles then extended his contract to four years, $98 million, just days after the deal. Sweat ended up leading Chicago with 6.0 sacks last season and tallied a season total of 12.5, which was a career high and helped earn him his first Pro Bowl selection at age 27. Now, Taylor will team up with Sweat to help further bolster Chicago’s offense entering 2024.
