Chance Perdomo, the actor who starred in the TV series “Gen V” and “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” died Saturday in a motorcycle accident, his publicist confirmed to CBS News. Perdomo was 27 years old.
“On behalf of the family and his representatives, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Chance Perdomo as a result of a motorcycle accident,” his publicist said in a statement obtained by CBS News.
Perdomo is best known for playing Ambrose Spellman in the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and Andre Anderson in The Boys spin-off series Gen V.
Perdomo's publicist told him that “no other individuals were involved” in the incident.
“His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life were felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will live on in those he loved,” the publicity statement said. “We ask that you respect the family’s wish for privacy as they grieve the loss of their beloved son and brother.”
Amazon, MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television said in a statement that they were devastated by Perdomo's sudden death. In a separate statement, “Gen V” producers said he “was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind and beautiful person.”
“Even writing about him in the past tense has no meaning,” the statement read. “We are very sorry to the Chance family, and are saddened by the loss of our friend and colleague.”
