The family was left ‘utterly devastated’ after a 13-year-old schoolboy was run over by a car just a month before his 14th birthday.

The family of a 13-year-old boy who was hit by a car near Liverpool said they were ‘absolutely devastated’ as they announced that his life support had been turned off just a month before his 14th birthday.
Harry Kenny-Ryan is hit by a silver Vauxhall Astra Estate near the Showcase Cinema in Stonedale Retail Park at 7.25pm on Wednesday 7th December.
He was taken to Alder Hay Children’s Hospital in critical condition, where he died yesterday of his injuries.
A 34-year-old man was arrested after the incident and has been released on bail pending further investigations.

Harry’s uncle Teddy Williams posted on Facebook: ‘This sweet young man is my nephew, Harry. He will only be 14 years old on January 12, 2023.
‘On Wednesday he fell on East Lancs Road and is now off life support and Harry has gained his wings. My whole family is naturally completely devastated. Harry is my sister’s grandson.
He added, “I don’t know how we will go from here, but we must be strong and our lives must go on.” Harry will be forever young.
Detective Sergeant Andy Roper, of Merseyside Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: ‘Harry’s family are being supported by specially trained Family Liaison Officers as our inquiries and thoughts continue with them at this sad time.
