J.T. Vance and the Fall of the American Empire

JD Vance, who once called Trump “the American Hitler,” knelt before Mar-a-Lago’s miracle master who anointed him as his vice presidential running mate.

Since being elected to the Senate in 2022, Vance has become a fierce and unapologetic defender of Trump’s most false rumors. There is not one person who never misses an opportunity to show his submission and loyalty to him. Almost paradoxical.

Vance believes America needs regime change. It’s their turn! For decades, Washington has imposed — or tried to impose — everywhere on the planet, from Chile to Iran to Afghanistan. Vance is convinced that electing him and Trump is America’s only hope of salvation. But he doesn’t believe four more years under Trump will be enough to turn things around.

According to him, the American political class has proven incapable of overturning the “fundamental stagnation at the heart of American society.” Vance’s conviction about the decline of the American empire helps us understand his political project beyond Trump.

De Gaulle and the US Presidential Election

JD Vance wants to be a leader like Charles de Gaulle, willing to change the entire American constitutional system. If both are elected, it’s clear that JD Vance won’t be to Trump what Kamala Harris was to Biden: a sane sycophant with contradictory rhetoric. Vance is going to love his place in the sun…and the microphone. Trump would be embarrassed. There are a lot of problems in the Oval Office.
