“There was an unprovoked attack on an individual (K) Udak, when security and (K) Udak came to his aid, an unknown assailant fired several shots at them. Fortunately, all this was videotaped. He was wounded in the leg. It was not life-threatening, He will fully recover and is in a stable condition.”
The statement included a screenshot of the shooting reported by TMZ.
Cohen did not respond to CNN’s request for additional information, instead referring to his published statement.
The Los Angeles Police Department said earlier that an altercation occurred at approximately 2:45 a.m. in the 400th block of N La Ciega Street.
A source familiar with the event told CNN that Bieber was hosting an after-party at The Nice Guy restaurant and lounge, after a concert, and “the shooting took place…near The Nice Guy, but it wasn’t directly in front.”
The source said that Bieber was inside the scene when the shooting took place, and decided to leave as soon as he learned of the incident.
Police said paramedics took two of the victims to nearby hospitals, while the other two took themselves to hospitals. They said the incident had nothing to do with the gang.
