The dream of winning a treble in a row is over for Manchester City after losing on penalties to Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday. Now, Pep Guardiola's side must focus their efforts on the remaining domestic matches as they search for silverware this season.
The team currently sit top of the Premier League, after both Liverpool and Arsenal dropped points last time out, and are favorites to regain their title while today's outing sees them targeting a place in the FA Cup Final. This is the seventh time in eight seasons that City have appeared in the semi-finals although they have only advanced twice in their last six attempts.
Standing in their way this afternoon is the rising Chelsea team led by Mauricio Pochettino. The Blues have reached three of the last four FA Cup finals (although winning none of them) and thrashed Everton 6-0 on Monday night as former City player Cole Palmer scored four goals. The striker will be crucial in Chelsea's bid to defeat their rivals today having already enjoyed success against his old club earlier in the season.

Manchester City 0-0 Chelsea
48 minutes: Two big chances for Jackson! They both missed!
Chelsea should be 1-0 up and Pochettino won't believe they're not. Ol Jackson sneaked in from the left, but was unable to reduce his shot past Ortega. Palmer then had a great chance for Jackson at the back post, but his header was straight at Ortega again!
I have to say Walker slept on both.

Manchester City 0-0 Chelsea
Minute 47: A strange start for City, as Ortega cleared the ball, giving Madueke the opportunity to shoot on goal. It's wide.
Walker also picked up Gallagher, so there are further signs that City have yet to wake up at the start of the second half.

The biggest chance of the half. We've seen it before from Jackson this season.

Half the time! Manchester City 0-0 Chelsea
All squares and no goals at Wembley.
It was a lively half and both teams had their moments.
But Chelsea are in the game and will be happy with what they have done so far.
Few shots on target, but plenty of chances: Jackson had the best of them but failed to test Ortega.

Minute 45: Another foul from Caicedo, this time on Grealish by pulling his shirt. It's a booking for the midfielder and another free-kick for City before half-time.

44 minutes: Dear, that sums up half of what City have done so far. Foden's cross goes straight out of play.
Palmer then loses the ball but Fernandes recovers it on the edge of the penalty area as he dispossesses De Bruyne from it.

Manchester City 0-0 Chelsea
42 minutes: Plenty this time from City. Foden comes back to life and moves on the edge of the penalty area, but De Bruyne tries to pass the ball and the movement is disrupted. Caicedo then cut down Foden and gifted City a well-placed free-kick.
