Nate Diaz stands by Conor McGregor regarding the UFC 303 debacle.
Two of the biggest UFC stars of all-time have put their differences aside since their last fight at UFC 202 in August 2016. There were some minor verbal jabs between the two throughout the next eight years, but Diaz never found McGregor’s first professional bout to go down as one.
UFC 303 was supposed to see the long-awaited return of “The Notorious” against Michael Chandler inside T-Mobile Arena on Saturday night. That was until McGregor fractured his little toe, claiming he didn’t want to take a fight at anything less than 100 percent. Diaz, 39, believes that society’s critical reaction to the decision is exaggerated.
“I think it was just a simple thing,” Diaz said. MMA addict. I think they made a bigger deal than it is now. good idea. If I felt angry, I would also postpone the fight, but people feel afraid. I think I wouldn’t want to fight until I was 100 percent ready to rock either, because in the past I’ve done all kinds of things that I wasn’t supposed to do.
“So, I think he learned from experience and all these inexperienced people talking about their inexperience. They will have to deal with criticism until the fight is over, but I think it will happen and everything will be fine.”
Before McGregor returns to the octagon, Diaz continues his boxing career when he faces Jorge Masvidal in a boxing rematch next weekend. Diaz lost his first MMA encounter at UFC 244 in November 2019 when Masvidal scored a third-round TKO to the doctor. He began his professional career when he lost a unanimous decision to Jake Paul last August.
Although no longer part of the UFC roster, Diaz finished his promotion career on a high note and has expressed interest in fighting there again. Ultimately, a McGregor hat-trick to level the score at 1-1 is something he can’t rule out.
“Yeah, we’ll see what happens over time, you know?” Diaz said. “It depends on what happens in my fight, his fight, and in the UFC. I’m not a fortune teller, you know what I’m saying? We’ll see what happens.”

Strickland in Japan is the nightmare you’d expect.
Anbu vs. Strickland full sparring.
Anbu went there wanting a real fight. ANBU wanted 3 rounds, Shun responded with 10 rounds and 7 rounds were negotiated.
Anbu was tired after the first and they ended up with five after Anbu exhausted his energy.
