Reddit is now in charge of r/malefashionadvice, which for some time was the largest subreddit still closed in protest of the platform’s API price changes. The subreddit is now open, which means Reddit users can browse content in the community again, albeit in a restricted mode, which means only certain users can create new posts.

As we reported last week, the brokers from r/malefashionadvice.com, a subsite with over 5 million subscribers, made the community private and pushed its users towards Discord and Substack instead. At the time, the moderators expected to be removed after receiving a message from a Reddit moderator (employee), ModCodeofConduct, telling them they would be replaced if they weren’t reopened.

Three former moderators of r/malefashionadvice say the edge They were removed from the subreddit on Thursday. “We’ve more or less anticipated removal in the past few days,” said a member of the former mod team, who requested Walker’s transition, in an email to the edge. Discord seems to be gaining some traction. Another “Zack” from the Department of Defense said Zack the edge Last week it had 2,000 users; Now, he says it’s up to 5,000. “The community and regulars who come to Discord have been, on the whole, good company and courteous,” Walker says.

Reddit did not immediately respond to a request for comment. As of this writing, ModCodeofConduct He is also the sole supervisor of:

Right now, based on a Reddark tracker, it’s still the largest private subreddit r / street clothes. According to Zach, who told me last week that he’s also a model for this community, he has more than 4 million subscribers. The subreddit also has Discord.
