Before last week's troubled launch, Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection was already making headlines for “accidentally” featuring footage of a community-made model in an official trailer.

At the time, developer Aspyr said the game did not include “any code or content” from “unapproved sources,” but now there are traces of the game Same edited by Asajj Ventress by 'iamshaymin' They were discovered in the release version of the game.

As highlighted IGN, screenshots of a PS5 build on Reddit show iamashaymin's “no credit” Asajj Ventress model. According to reports from many players, this has been patched and replaced with the Aspyr version, but it appears the mod is still present in an earlier version of the game, after Aspyr said it wouldn't be.

iamshaymin: “We don't know how or why Ventress ended up in the full release when they specifically told us that wouldn't be the case.”

The same designer mentioned how the launch of the set was a “total mess” – “especially considering that a portion of the patches are rumored to have removed content that they actually said was removed months ago.”

Here's how Aspyr originally responded to these claims (via IGN):

“We would like to thank the passionate Star Wars: Battlefront community for bringing this to our attention. When taking placeholder shots for our announcement last fall, we mistakenly included content that was not in the product, which resulted in this error making it into the final version. Cut. Next release From Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection does not include any code or content taken from unauthorized sources.”

Aspyr also released a statement about the game's online multiplayer launch, which you can read in our previous post here on Nintendo Life:
