Stardew Valley Players have been waiting almost a year to claim this huge prize Update 1.6 For release since developer ConcernedApe teased for the first time. That wait is almost over, as the long-awaited 1.6 update for the beloved farming sim is set to roll out today, March 19. Here's what you need to know about when the update will be rolled out and what it will include.
Although we don't have an exact release time for update 1.6, we do know that it will be released sometime today. Based on previous updates, the release will likely take place sometime around 11 AM PDT / 2 PM EST. When asked when the update will be, ConcernedApe X answered (formerly Twitter) that “it will be when I'm awake tomorrow.”
In the week leading up to the release of patch 1.6, Concerned Monkey was posting one patch note per day on X. This began in March 11 With the revelation that the fruit trees will now produce the appropriate fruit seedling. Here are the other patch notes we have so far:
- Fixed a bug where harvesting from left to right was faster than harvesting from right to left
- Expanding the sphere of influence Counter landing melee attacks

The March 19 release is for PC, Mac, and Linux versions of the game. Mobile and console versions Stardew Valley It will receive the update at a later date that has not yet been announced. As with any update, players using mods should be aware that the new update may not work as intended with installed mods. ConcernedApe has created a public branch of Steam that will remain at version 1.5.6 for players who so choose, and recommends that people try to play version 1.6 without mods first.
