PITTSBURGH – We’re on our way at Acresor Stadium, as the only teams in the NFL with six Lombardy Cups tie in the second week of the NFL regular season.
Both teams come out with a vastly different opener of the season. The Steelers 1-0 after beating the Bengals in overtime last Sunday. The Patriots 0-1 after a poor performance in Miami. Despite these results, the visiting Patriots are favored to win this match. One reason for that may be Bill Belichick’s 8-3 record against Mike Tomlin’s Steelers, along with the fact that Defensive Player of the Year T.J. Watt will miss this game after sustaining an injury last week.
Sunday’s game features an interesting quarterback match between Mac Jones and Mitch Trubisky. Besides last week’s loss, Jones suffered a back injury while also missing training time due to illness. Trubisky, who put in modest numbers on his debut with the Steelers, is hoping for more depth shots after not making his mark on several big play attempts last week.
