Atomic Monster and Blumhouse are working on it SOULM8TEnew movie in M3GAN universe, “with a new technological development,” according to today’s announcement. Described as a 90s thriller, the film will hit theaters on Friday, January 2, 2026, meaning previews will take place on New Year’s Day.
Kate Dolan (You are not my mother) will direct the film. Dolan rewrote the original draft by Raphael Jordaens (Marine Corps Rescue), with a story by James Wan, Ingrid Bisso and Jordan.

James Wan and Jason Blum will produce the film SOULM8TE. Wan’s Atomic Monster’s Michael Clare and Judson Scott will executive produce alongside Ingrid Bisso. Alayna Glasthal is the CEO leading the Atomic Monster project.
M3GAN It was a surprise hit in the winter of 2023, grossing over US$181 million. sequel, m3jan 2.0, It opens in theaters on June 27, 2025. Allison Williams and Violet McGraw return for the sequel.
