Just imagine. You let your dog out in the yard, leave the door open, and he can come in alone, but when he pokes his nose into the room, he has a friend following him, and a moose!
This is what happened to a couple in Alaska. “I must have seen him for 3 or 4 seconds before I realized he was home,” Barbara Nichols says with a laugh. For his part, her husband thought he was dreaming when he saw the beautiful animal.
“I got up and took a couple of steps and realized there was a big moose in my house that had followed Jesse,” my dog recalled. Mrs. Nichols then raised a loud cry.
Apparently, the moose doesn’t care and he’s hungry. Nickels started eating all the plants he found.

“He was enjoying the salad bar,” adds Mrs. Nichols jokingly.
She calls the police, who instruct her to place a chair in the hallway to try to keep the animal away.
Ms. Nichols finds the settlement ridiculous. “It’s like throwing a toothpick at a giant, isn’t it?” she says.
Finally an officer intervened. He turned on his taser on the kitchen sink, closest to the animal. Barbara Nicholls explains: “It’s just for the sound it makes. The animal doesn’t get an electric shock.

shouted the other police officer, scaring the slightly startled Moose.
It seems that the moose had some snacks after coming out of the house.
“On the way out, I was able to take two flags off my flag,” says Ms. Nichols.
After spending some time around the property the moose returned to where it came from.
As for the Nickels, they weren’t going to open their doors unnoticed again.
