Actress and friend Sherry Shepherd has been chosen to take over the time slot with her own show, simply titled Sherry.

A spokesperson for Williams said she was assured that “if her health reaches a point where she can host again, and if she desires to host her again, she will be back on television at that time”.

Williams’ attorneys disputed Schiller’s suit and accused Wells Fargo of overstepping their authority. The bank’s attorney later clarified that he wanted a “temporary trustee or resident to review and confirm the situation.” [Williams’] Affairs are handled properly.

Howard Braggman, a Williams spokesman, issued a statement shortly thereafter.

“It’s been a tough time for Wendy as she deals with her health issues,” he said.

She is incredibly grateful to Debar Mercury, and to Cherie and everyone else who supported the show during this time. She, more than anyone else, understands the reality of shared television – you can’t go to the market and sell a show that is probably the Wendy Show.

She understands why this decision was made from a business point of view, and Demar Mercury assured her that if her health reached a point where she could host again, and if she wanted to host again she would. Back on TV at that time.
