Google accidentally reveals that the next device will be launched with Fuchsia

According to a quickly deleted Google planning document, Fuchsia will be installed on the upcoming device from day one.

In the past few years, Google has updated the original version Nest Hub and the Nest Hub Max to run on the company’s homegrown Fuchsia OS instead of “Cast OS”. While there are still quite a few other Google devices that haven’t yet updated to Fuchsia, the next step we’ve been waiting for is for Fuchsia to run out of the box.

Last week, Fuchsia developers presented a new document explaining an upcoming project. 9to5Google He was able to view this document before it was later hidden from the public.

According to the document, Fuchsia is set to get support for JavaScript development, which aims to make it easier to manage and control device features. More specifically, the work is done to support the “factories”, where new hardware is tested during production.

Most importantly, it appears that JavaScript support for Fuchsia needs to be completed in the first half of 2023 due to a Fuchsia-powered device being manufactured in the very near future.
