According to a quickly deleted Google planning document, Fuchsia will be installed on the upcoming device from day one.

In the past few years, Google has updated the original version Nest Hub and the Nest Hub Max to run on the company’s homegrown Fuchsia OS instead of “Cast OS”. While there are still quite a few other Google devices that haven’t yet updated to Fuchsia, the next step we’ve been waiting for is for Fuchsia to run out of the box.

Last week, Fuchsia developers presented a new document explaining an upcoming project. 9to5Google He was able to view this document before it was later hidden from the public.

According to the document, Fuchsia is set to get support for JavaScript development, which aims to make it easier to manage and control device features. More specifically, the work is done to support the “factories”, where new hardware is tested during production.

Eventually, Fuchsia will be used as the operating system on devices when they are manufactured in factories

Most importantly, it appears that JavaScript support for Fuchsia needs to be completed in the first half of 2023 due to a Fuchsia-powered device being manufactured in the very near future.

Having a generally viable solution ready by the first half of 2023, so the solution is available for Fuchsia’s first plant.

In recent months, we’ve seen signs My upcoming Google devices Added to the fuchsia icon are both smart speakers. One appears to be a lower-end device, perhaps a speaker-equipped Pixel tablet or a 3rd-generation Nest Mini, while the other looks like a full-fledged successor to Nest Audio Complete with UWB connectivity.

Based on the timing of it all, we think it’s likely that Google’s next flagship Nest speaker — supposed to launch in fall 2023 or spring 2024 — will be the first device to launch with Fuchsia installed by default.

Either way, this is a huge step forward for Fuchsia within Google, as it’s used frequently by its hardware division. On a grand scale, the year 2023 was already shaping up to be A key year in the evolution of FuchsiaAnd the launch of new devices will certainly enhance this.
